Rob Willis - Citrix Systems

Citrix Systems

Rob Willis is responsible for the strategic development and direction of Citrix Systems across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). He provides marketing and sales leadership throughout the region, including a focus on partner relationships and channel programs.

His responsibilities also include driving growth through new market opportunities, integrating new products into the region and ensuring the company’s development, especially at the enterprise level and in key vertical markets. 

Rob joined Citrix in December 2005 and since then he has held several roles in the company. Before becoming the Area Vice President, he was the Director of Enterprise Sales, in which he lead the region’s enterprise sales team and was responsible for driving business opportunities in ANZ across the corporate and government sectors.

Rob has more than twenty years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Citrix, he was Senior Vice President Optical Services for IP Networks in San Francisco where he lead the sales and marketing team. He has also worked with Nortel Networks as Vice President of Advanced Packet Solutions responsible for driving growth in the America, Europe and Asia markets.

Martin Duursma - Citrix Systems

Martin Duursma is the CTO Office Chair for Citrix Systems, Inc. & Vice President of the Citrix Advanced Products Group. In this dual capacity Duursma is tasked with day to day running of the CTO Office which is responsible for educating and evangelizing technology directions, trends and standards within Citrix as well as cross group technology governance.

In his role as VP Advanced Products Duursma is chartered with conceiving and producing creative products, components and technologies crucial to the company's success. His global responsibilities include development groups located in Cambridge, UK, Redmond, USA, and Sydney, Australia which pioneer and review new technologies with a two to three-year horizon.  Ultimately these technologies become part of the Citrix product portfolio. Additionally Duursma’s group is responsible for stimulating innovation inside Citrix via running an internal ideation process.

Prior to his current position, Duursma was Vice President of Product Development at Citrix Systems, Inc, in a division focused on products that utilise Citrix’s Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) technology. Duursma also oversaw the day-to-day management of Citrix’s Sydney and Tokyo research and development groups. 

Duursma has more than 25 years experience in research and development of operating systems and multi-user technologies. Prior to joining Citrix, he was Director of Research and Development for Datapac Australasia, a position he held for ten years. Whilst at Datapac, Duursma was responsible for managing the development of the System Manager operating system that has been widely adopted in the Asia Pacific region. More recently at Datapac, prior to its acquisition by Citrix Systems Inc., Duursma was instrumental in the expansion of technologies that enhance the Citrix product line.

Duursma holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and is a member of the IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)..

Gordon Payne - Citrix Systems (Melbourne only)

Gordon Payne is senior vice president and general manager of the Delivery Systems Division for Citrix. He is responsible for the group’s revenue attainment, product management, business development and strategic direction. Prior to this position, Gordon served as group vice president and general manager, for Citrix’s Advanced Solutions Group and as the product line executive of Emerging Products for the company’s Virtualization Systems Group. In both roles, Gordon was responsible for leading cross-functional teams to bring new and unique solutions to market. A network business veteran on an international scale, Payne provides product leadership with a focus on identifying new market opportunities and creating winning business and product solutions for Citrix customers and partners.

Gordon joined Citrix in December of 2004, through the $50M acquisition of Net6, Inc., a leader in SSL VPN Secure Remote Access and IP Telephony Application Solutions. With Net6, a Silicon Valley based start-up, he held the positions of both chief marketing officer and chief financial officer, establishing a strong position for the company leading up to the acquisition by Citrix Systems, Inc.

Prior to Net6, Gordon held senior management positions in two venture-backed Networking start-ups. Previously with Nortel Networks he was vice president and general manager of the Call Center/CRM and Enterprise Wireless Business Units. In 17 years with Nortel, he worked in the Carrier Networks, Wireless Networks, and Enterprise Solutions lines of business and lived in Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia and the United States.

Gordon holds an M.B.A. from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland and a B.A. in Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Martin Gregory - Microsoft (Sydney only)

After working with Microsoft for 13 years in the United Kingdom, Martin Gregory arrived in Australia in 2002 and is currently the Director Server and Tools Business Group.

In this role Martin’s primary responsibility is to run the Server and Tools Business Group in Australia across all customer groups and through an extensive ecosystem of partners. 

Previously Martin was Platform Strategy Manager in Australia with primary responsibility to work with key stakeholders including customers, partners, government and media to convey the value of the Windows platform. Martin was responsible for the development and implementation of the related strategy across all of Microsoft’s business in Australia.

Prior to this role, Martin managed the Northern Europe OEM Embedded Systems group for Microsoft, working with a range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and service providers including, Nokia, Pace and Orange.

Prior to this, Martin held positions at Microsoft including: Internet Platforms Strategy Manager, Windows Product Marketing Manager; OEM Business Manager; Enterprise Architect and Senior Systems Engineer.

Rosemary Stark - Microsoft (Melbourne only)

Rosemary is driven by understanding how people use technology to solve problems. She has over 17 years in enterprise IT internationally across a broad set of industries from financial services and communications to manufacturing and government. She has specialised in disaster recovery and has worked with server, storage and application technologies in mission critical environments.

Rosemary returned to Australia from San Francisco to join Microsoft as the Product Manager for Windows Server and Infrastructure products. In her career, she has worked for Austraclear, Sun Microsystems, VERITAS Software and BEA Systems, starting as a technical consultant and moving in the last 9 years to Product Management and Marketing.

Rob Kingston - Hewlett-Packard

Rob Kingston is group manager of commercial product marketing for HP’s Personal Systems Group (PSG). In this role, Rob is charged with driving PSG’s marketing programs to ensure that HP continues its leadership in delivering innovative business solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

In line with HP’s strategy of delivering leadership in technology solutions and services, Rob’s group is responsible for marketing a family of solutions that provide users with anywhere, anytime access to information, including business notebooks, desktop PC products, workstations, thin clients and monitors.

Prior to this role, Rob was market development manager for HP’s Thin Client business where he was successful in driving growth in this category.

Rob began his career with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1997. His roles within DEC, and subsequently Compaq and HP, have included assistant product marketing manager for commercial desktops, and market development manager for commercial desktops.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing Major, from the University of Western Sydney.

Raj Dhingra
Group Vice President & General Manager for Desktop Virtualization, Citrix Systems, Inc.

Raj is a seasoned business executive with a track record of building category leaders in high-growth markets. Currently, Raj is the Group Vice President and General Manager for desktop virtualization at Citrix Systems, Inc.  Prior to joining Citrix in January 2008, Raj was responsible for corporate marketing, product strategy, and business development at PortAuthority Technologies -- ranked by Forrester Research and Gartner Research as a category leader in Information Leak Prevention/Content Monitoring and acquired by Websense (Nasdaq:WBSN) in January 2007. Previously, Raj served as senior vice president of marketing for McAfee, where he was responsible for corporate and product marketing of network and system security products. During his tenure, the McAfee IntruShield family of network IDS/IPS products, acquired from IntruVert Networks, became the #1 worldwide market share leader. Prior to joining IntruVert Networks, he was chief operating officer and senior vice president of marketing at SonicWALL Inc., a developer of Internet security solutions. Before SonicWALL, Raj held several senior management positions at 3Com, including vice president of business development, and vice president and general  manager of 3Com's SuperStack division.
